glorious days

I have a friend who lives in a nearby town who also likes looking of mushrooms. Well, maybe that is an under statement, he is really into it and totally knowledgeable. It has been such a joy going out foraging with another.

We went out the other day to the forests and found a good amount of mushrooms. The forest floor was also poka dotted red by the amanita muscaria.

It had cleared after the storms and provided a glorious and bountiful day!

Oh and this cabin, perched on a cliff above the pacific. It is sanctuary for those who have lost loved ones. A place to pause and reflect. It brought memories of making my own little sanctuary as a little girl out of a wooden crate that my mom's wooden rocking chairs had been delivered in. I painted it, but roofing on top, made a window, put a rug inside and in the cold midwestern winters I would bundle up and stay in my little cabin. I suppose, we are born the way we always are meant to be. Still to this day, I yearn for cabins and sanctuary in the forest.

That's all for now, I must hit the road, back to a signaless land.
