One more hour of daylight during the day.

The blooms come out. The green house permeates with sensuous smells of Bergamot Orange Blossom and Jasmine. The smells come at you and makes you happy. Aromatherapy at it's finest.

I enjoy a good amount of solace but as the flowers bloom and the bees are out of their hive more, I am out of my shell more.

Living in a small town suits me, the big cities just swallow me up. But, here, I can recognize faces and make connections but it has taken quite some time to feel a part of a community here as we are all a bunch of recluses.

A group of wonderfully talented folk put out a lovely publication devoted to this area and had a release party at our community center. It was just lovely, my favorite part listening to this band where two of the singers had babies strapped on to them as they performed. What a dream, to be a part of a team, creative and throw a baby on the hip.

By the end of the night I was dancing with co-workers, my doctor, and running into a whole lot of people I had met over the years I have lived here.

That energy of Spring does this to me every year. I stop being a hermit and almost can't sleep with all the energy of life buzzing around me, like the bees out my window, active and mobile.
