We are out of February, Daylight savings happened this weekend and Spring will be here in 12 days.
I told myself it was the clock was jumping ahead when I went to bed, but woke up and felt an immense guilt for sleeping so long. And then I realized.
The days go by so fast, the weeks too. I used to have a lot of days off, half the week, now I work everyday in some fashion and I don't mind at all- everything I do has been completely rewarding and fulfilling.
Highway One was flooded today. It is the start of Nor Cal tourist craziness, where I stay away from everything to avoid the crowds. Today I got stuck at the middle pump of the gas station while a gang of Korean motorcyclists pulled in everywhere, refusing to move as they were all taking selfies. Oh god, everyone is out living their Highway One fantasies.
I've been a bad texter, e-mailer, social media-er. Work is not sitting down, home has two bars of internet and the plate is full. It feels pretty amazing, actually. Like physically, energetically amazing to not be on the computer. Though nothing gets done and there's a long list of people to reply to and things to manage and photos to publish.
California was so beautiful today. I am sorry for you all who don't live here, seriously, it's so good. Well, maybe you can actually put money away in your savings account with your cheap cost of living but we have everything else.
These are the house boats in Sausalito, on the Marin side of the Golden Gate bridge. I had to stop on my way home from SF, it was too pretty not to.
