A Weekend In Charleston

Charleston is the perfect little getaway—a charming old city with cobblestone streets and brick buildings, great restaurants, and easy ocean access.

We stayed at The Dewberry, an old bank converted into a stylish mid-century modern luxury hotel.

Our first stop was just over the bridge at a quaint coastal spot for drinks and oysters called The Post House Inn.

Although not pictured, we met up with Carly and Matt at The Ordinary for more oysters and seafood on their charming backyard patio. Carly was my manager for five years at the Meadery and now works at Grassroots, a wine distributor, so our conversation naturally veered towards wine—I love that these two live close by!

A quick jaunt to Sullivan's Island, as Folly Beach was overwhelmed with Mother's Day traffic, was the perfect way to spend the morning.

The trip concluded with dinner at a quaint little French restaurant with minimal seating and a small, daily-changing menu called Chez Nous.
