There’s nothing like waking up every morning and taking a walk on the beach with your best friend.
A quick trip to Florida was exactly what I needed to feel grounded again. I've been feeling a bit lost lately, so spending time with my BFF, enjoying some beachside shenanigans, and listening to the ocean waves was the perfect reset.
One rainy afternoon, we decided to drive to Vero Beach. We spontaneously walked into a beachfront hotel and snagged a fantastic deal on an oceanfront room.
For years, my biggest complaint about Florida was the lack of good wine. But we were in luck! Right across the street was a charming little wine shop called @happygirlwine, specializing in organic and biodynamic wines. We wandered over on this slow, off-season day and met the shop owner, who turned out to be a winemaker from the Sonoma/Napa area. We knew many of the same people and I could relate to her story. The wine world is small and connected, even in unexpected places. These kismet connections always make me feel I am on the right path.
We found the perfect bottle of biodynamic Champagne to enjoy on the beach. This was the first time I’ve had good wine in Florida without having to bring it myself! It’s reassuring to see that things can change and evolve over time.
